Every MacBook that lives on a charger is quietly wearing out: lithium-ion batteries age fastest when held at 100% and warm. The fixes are well known — cap the charge at 80%, cut wasteful drain, only charge to full when you actually leave — but they require constant human attention, which is why they never stick.
Battery Autopilot turns that entire job over to an AI engine. It measures the real power effect (ΔW) of each saving action on your specific Mac and automates only what provably works. It guards charging at 80% at the SMC level with a self-healing continuity guard, and it learns your departure times so the battery hits 100% right before you unplug.
The difference is visible, not vibes: the menu bar reads “+47 min extended today”, computed from measured savings. An LLM (OpenAI / Claude) assists with strategy, but only decisions that pass local safety guardrails are ever applied — and all learning stays on-device.
